How To Register for The Young Emerging Leader Program

Registering for the Young Emerging Leader Program is now easier than ever and takes three simple steps.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Applicant must be a tenth grader
  2. Applicant must have parental/guardian approval to participate in the program.
  3. Applicant must obtain a recommendation letter from a community leader

Participant Responsibilities

  1. Participant must openly participate in all aspects of scheduled meetings (discussion, activities, etc.)
  2. Participant must treat coaches, teachers, and other participants with respect.
  3. Participant cannot miss more than two consecutive meetings and no more than three total during the program.  Meetings are held twice a month.

Parent / Guardian Responsibilities

  1. Provide participant transportation to scheduled meetings
  2. Build a partnering relationship with program leadership

     

    Level One Assessment

    Purpose

    The Level One Assessment is not a graded assessment and no answers indicated within the assessment will disqualify a candidate from entrance into the program.

    The assessment is strategically designed as a tool for gathering metrics of what the greatest needs or resources required to best serve the youth within the program and the community, as a whole.

    All answers to the questions within the assessment are considered confidential and will only be viewed and analyzed be approved program leadership. 

     

     

    Interview

    Purpose

    The Interview process is designed to introduce and provide exposure to one of many valuable experiences of the real world.

    Often times interviews are used for entry into the college and career fields, in addition to, any special programs.
